In 18th of November 2015, the New Zealand delegations, led by Mr. Steven Joyce, Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Minister of Economic Development, Minister of Administrative Reform and Minister of Science and Creativity will visit the universities of HCMC, along with Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Anh Duc, Vice Director of HCMC National Universities and leaders of the universities from HCMC.
This is the 2nd visitation of Mr. Steven Joyce in this year (2015), with the intention of enhancing the cooperation between Vietnam and New Zealand in education – an aspect having a major impact on the relationship between 2 countries. The main purpose of this visitation is to declare a new vision and strategy on parallel education, exchanging experience on improving educational program of New Zealand and Vietnam. Moreover, the visitation puts a stress on how important leadership is in orienting and fortifying education.
In this visitation, New Zealand Educational Organization and Auckland University of Technology (AUT) will orchestrate a seminar on “The Role of Leadership and parallel relationship in orienting and fortifying education: Lesson learned from New Zealand and the Vietnamese scene”. The seminar shall be in charged by Professor Howard Youngs – Leader of Post Graduating Program in Educational Leadership, AUT.
Taking part in the seminar, there will be the existence of the CEO of New Zealand Educational Organization, presentative of New Zealand universities, leaders of members of the HCMC national universities, leaders of high schools from HCMC and other provinces.

One of the main efforts in improving education is to promote the awareness of how important the leader is (the principle), especially in high school and university level. Together with building a strong relationship between teaching faculties, header of each individual faculty. Besides, this content shall put a stress on the importance of the leader in improving and changing educational programs and teaching methods
In this seminar, New Zealand presentative will share us their experience from that participants may learn and applicate into our domestic situation.
The seminar will begin at 9:00 am in 18th November 2015, I auditorium, Building I, HCMUS, 227 Nguyen Van Cu Dist. 5 HCMC.
The happenstance of this seminar and the visitation of Mr. Steven Joyce occur on the celebration of 40 years in relationship of Vietnam and New Zealand. This shall be a remarkable stage in bringing the relationship to a next level.
