ITEC CAREER DAY 2015 which was presented by ITEC – HCMUS and Career Vision Company occurred in the 8th of May 2015. This event attracted almost 500 students and offered over 700 working opportunities and internships.
With the intention of supporting students’ occupation and reaching out prestigious enterprise, ITEC organized ITEC CAREER DAY, a concrete bridge between our students and recruiters. The event had contributions from the following companies: Nestlé, Starbucks, AEON, PNJ, Cung Mua, Golden Gate, LogiGear, Mega Life Sciences, Proserve IT and Career Vision.

Employers receive souvenirs from ITEC
Mr, Nguyen Tu Quoc Thong, senior student from Business Management program, shared us that he was now working at Continental Hotel, however, he still managed his precious time to participate the event. The reason for this was Tuan loved challenging occupation and he was looking for more opportunities from the employers. He wished there would be more informative events like this, therefore, his friends and him shall have an option for their career.
In the event, almost 500 ITEC students and others from HCMC universities had a great opportunities of meeting enterprise throughout rewarding activities such as: interchange with recruiters, learning from the speakers’ lessons. Besides, the most anticipating activity was “Real interview, real employment”, students participating the event shall have interviews with the recruiters.
Mr. Vo Thi Ngoc Thanh, the presentative of Logigear share: “Students coming here are every dynamic and active in looking for an occupation. I believe that they’ve been trained well enough in CV writing and interviewing skills”. Nonetheless, these skills need to be concerned with great care and be part of the students’ original”. Ms Thanh also said that mostly graduated students didn’t have any experience, but the projects that they had had done in ITEC throughout the past 4 years helped them stand out.

According to the event’s statistics, a lot of students landed jobs or decided to take a step forward in the next round of interview. ITEC will put more efforts to bring working opportunities in the following events.
